Shiitake Extract
Product Description
Shiitake mushrooms contain fat, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. However, its key ingredient is a polysaccharide called lentinan. Lentinan is extracted from the crushed mycelium of Lentinus edodes, which is rich in polysaccharides and lignin. Utilizing the mycelium that appears before the caps and stems of shiitake mushrooms grow, shiitake mushroom products produced after crushing may reduce the infectivity of hepatitis B. Shiitake mushrooms can also stimulate white blood cells to produce interferons. It has been shown to help strengthen immunity in laboratory studies.
