Azelaic acid
Product Description
Azelaic acid is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H16O4. Azelaic acid is mainly used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it is often used as a topical treatment for acne. It helps reduce the production of keratin, which can clog pores and cause acne breakouts. Azelaic acid also has skin-whitening properties and is used to treat pigmentation such as melasma and post-inflammatory pigmentation.
